FAQs

Do you have a waitlist?

Yes, if you’re interested in working together, book a consult and add your name to the waitlist, and I’ll follow up with you when my practice goes live in September 2025.

Can you provide a super bill?

Yes, at the request of a client. This does not guarantee financial coverage from insurers.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time. I’m an out-of-pocket provider, which means you will be provided a Good Faith Estimate and fully financially responsible for the cost of services at the time of service.

What credit cards do you accept?

All major credit card companies, as well as local credit cards, can be accepted, including American Express, Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and HSA/FSA cards.

Do you offer a sliding scale option?

Yes, a sliding scale fee may be available as a temporary arrangement, assessed individually based on specific circumstances. Eligibility is determined through a review of financial hardship and supporting income documentation. Clients experiencing difficulty with payments are encouraged to discuss this promptly to explore potential options. However, approval is not guaranteed. If a reduced rate is offered, it is intended as a short-term solution. Clients are expected to resume the standard fee once their financial situation stabilizes, as per the original agreement with their clinician.

Do you offer in-person services?

No, all services are provided via the HIPPA-compliant Healthie video and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform.

What do you charge for consulting services?

Consulting services are offered at an agreed upon contract-based flat rate or hourly rate, which can range depending on the type of consulting service, requested level of commitment, time, activities, tasks involved, and service needs. For more information, complete an interest form here and schedule a consult call here to discuss more.

Where are you licensed?

I’m currently licensed to independently practice in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia. I’m also a registered Telehealth provider in Florida. Although my services are strictly virtual, all clients must reside within one of the five states listed. I can provide administrative and non-clinical consulting services as legally appropriate in other states (e.g., review of policies, procedures, bylaws, or staff development through training courses) and on an as contracted and needed basis.

What are your hours of operation?

I’m available between the hours of 6pm - 8pm Monday - Friday. I do not provide on-call crisis support. If you’re experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please contact 988 via phone or text for the National Crisis Hotline, or 911 for all other emergencies. If there is a child/adolescent psychiatric crisis and you reside in DC, please contact ChAMPS (Child and Adolescent Mobile Psychiatric Service) 24/7 line at 202-481-1440.

Do you have a late arrival/no-show policy?

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late to a virtual session will incur a $25 late fee. Failure to attend a scheduled session (past 15 minutes late) without prior cancellation will result in a $50 no-show fee. These fees will be charged to the credit or debit card on file.

To avoid these charges, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This policy is outlined in your onboarding paperwork and is in place to respect both your time and your clinician's, promote accountability, and maintain the fidelity of your treatment.

What ages of kids do you see?

While I’m open to seeing kids aged 10 and up virtually, children aged 3-10 benefit most from in-person formats where therapeutic sand and toys are present in their physical environment. The reason is because as Gary Landreth (2002) proposes: “For children, toys are their words and play is their language.” Therefore, while I’m trained in the Child Centered Play Therapy model (CCPT), since I’m a virtual only provider, I recommend searching for a provider who specializes in CCPT and offers in-person sessions. CCPT is an evidenced-based, age and developmentally proven model. For ages 10 and up, I can offer virtual sessions within the framework of Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT, and DBT.

Do you service families online?

Yes, all services are offered via the HIPPA-compliant Healthie video and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. As mentioned above, I only recommend children aged 10 and up for virtual sessions and request all active caregivers be present for those sessions. There will be times I coordinate parent/caregiver only sessions to work on parent/caregiving skills or to consult over a child’s wellness concerns. I have experience supporting co-parents, divorced/separated parents, blended families, and legal guardians in family therapy.
